Ellijay Mountain Wedding - Summit Farms, Ellijay, GA
Last March, I took Tori & Jesse’s engagement photos here in Ellijay and I was immediately obsessed with them! Not only are they just so cute together, but they are both so kind, funny, and thoughtful people. I feel so so lucky with my couples - after every engagement shoot I feel like I have new friends, and I come away feeling so grateful that I get to photograph such special & beautiful people!
Just over a year later, on a breezy spring day at Summit Farms in Ellijay, GA, Tori & Jesse tied the knot with their friends and family. When I first arrived, the wind was somewhat alarming - knocking over decor and blowing chairs over. However, right before Tori started to walk down the aisle, it totally cleared up and made way for the most beautiful ceremony.
Following the ceremony, the sun came out to illuminate the new couple while friends & family tossed flower petals! I love the idea of throwing flower petals - not only is it better for the environment, but it also makes for such stunning pictures.
After the first dances, Tori’s maid of honor and Jesse’s brother made such great speeches, and then we heard from the bride and groom themselves! The reception was filled with so much laughter & love, and I adored hearing stories of the sweet couple from their closest friends and family.
The night ended with light up lace & silk ribbons while Tori & Jesse walked down to their (rental) car that had been fully decorated by their bridal party (meaning a car wash was definitely in their future…) and they drove away while everyone cheered with such love!
This wonderful couple & most of their friends and family came up to Ellijay from Florida. It was so fun seeing how much they adored the mountains and beautiful landscapes Ellijay has to offer. It’s such a great city to get married in - whether you want to elope on a mountain, or celebrate at a venue with your loved ones. Being an Ellijay based photographer is such a privilege and I’m so happy I get to capture such beautiful moments in the mountains that I love most!
