Adventure Elopement in the Dolomites - Auronzo di Cadore, Italy
Hannah + Reed’s intimate Dolomites elopement was an unforgettable morning exploring the Italian Dolomites in Auronzo di Cadore, Italy. We woke up before sunrise and drove to the location we had decided on the day before - but when we got there, the fog was so thick that you couldn’t see a thing. So instead, we headed to a back up location and it was absolutely perfect. We hiked to a little area where you could see the mountains at their peak beauty, and began an intimate and private ceremony - with a view!
Hannah and Reed read their handwritten vows to each other, exchanged rings, and celebrated in the beauty of the mountains. They Face-timed family members back home, who surprising answered even though it was almost 2am their time, and showed them the hills + views surrounding us. We explored a little bit more and then headed back to the hotel.
Once we got there, we had to check out by 10am, and weren’t able to check into our next place in Venice until 3pm, so we had to kill some time. Specifically 3 hours. So what did we decide to do? Go to Austria of course! We were only 30 minutes away and wanted to add another country to our list, so we stopped for some coffee in Sillian, Austria (literally right over the border). It was the perfect way to celebrate Hannah + Reed’s commitment to each other, and see a new country too.
We eventually headed back down to Venice, and took a boat to our Airbnbs. This was supposed to be goodbye, however, when arriving in Venice I immediately wanted to take more photos, so we met back up that evening and had a little shoot on the streets of Venice + enjoyed some gelato. I first worked with Hannah + Reed in the summer of 2019 and since then, we have shot together countless times (anniversaries, graduation, the proposal, engagement, etc). But I have to say - this day with them was my absolute favorite. They are such wonderful people individually, and as a couple. I will forever remember this day!!
