Flat Mountain Farm Wedding Day - Highlands, NC
Britta and I went to the same middle school growing up, and it was SO full circle getting to photograph her wedding at Flat Mountain Farm in Highlands, NC.
It was truly the most beautiful wedding weekend tucked away in the North Carolina mountains. Britta and Matt’s wedding day had the perfect amount of clouds in the sky, and the happy couple were surrounded by close friends and family throughout their special day.
Highlands, North Carolina is becoming one of my favorite places to visit - the crisp air and beautiful views make it a photographer’s dream. Flat Mountain Farm was the perfect venue to incapsulate the beauty of Highlands, and the owners are some of the kindest people I’ve ever met!
The ceremony brought laughter and tears to the guests, and I love how Britta and Matt incorporated their family by having them stand for a moment of recognition. The clouds parted way just before the kiss (a movie moment!!), and the ceremony was followed by family and bridal party photos! Always a blast.
The reception was electric, with flow stars flying around, and the dance floor filled with head banging and dance offs. The food was a huge hit (thanks to Das BBQ) and it was definitely one of the best wedding meals I’ve ever had!
