Summer Sunrise in the Mountains

I stumbled upon this field the night before this shoot and immediately sent Ava a text asking if she was down for a sunrise shoot… she said yes!

We met around 6am at a local coffee shop and drove through the blue ridge mountains together until we arrived at the location. It was filled with wildflowers, beautiful mountain views, and tall grass - such an amazing spot to shoot.

Watching the sun come up was so magical, and I am so glad Ava was down for this spontaneous shoot.

Finding locations like this is one of my favorite parts of the job - if you have always dreamed of shooting in the mountains, at a cool lake, in a protected forest, or wherever else, I have the spots for you.
